About Me

Hello! I’m a commercial photographer and videographer based in the wonderful Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. I specialize in commercial photography, but my expertise spans across editorial, portrait, and sports content as well. My journey as a photographer started back in 1992 when I first learned to shoot on film, and since then, my knowledge and passion for photography has grown. I am a proud member of the Professional Photographers Association and have had my work featured in top publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Politico, Fodor’s Guide, Fox News, ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and more.

Before I made the leap into full-time photography and videography, I spent 24 years in sales and marketing within the medical device industry. Throughout my career, I had the privilege of working with both Fortune 500 companies and startups, learning valuable skills in leadership, strategy, and product commercialization. I’ve also collaborated with top physicians and health care experts, understanding the high expectations for both products and marketing materials in the medical device space.

In 2017, I formalized my passion for photography by dedicating my spare time to learning commercial photography and videography. During this period, I honed my skills, invested in professional gear, and studied under industry experts to understand the business side of content creation.

Finally in January of 2025, I fully pivoted into my true passion: commercial photography, videography, and creative content creation. This transition allows me to combine my deep understanding of business strategy with my long-standing passion for visual storytelling. It’s been amazing to utilize both skill sets and collaborate with customers since the move.

Now, as a full-time creative, I combine my experience in business with my creative talents to deliver compelling imagery and videos. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful visuals can elevate a brand—whether for a product launch, KOL interview, marketing campaign, or brand narrative. My goal is to help clients engage their audiences with content that aligns with business objectives and enhances their brand identity.

My Approach to Commercial Photography & Videography

When it comes to commercial photography, clients love my professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail—especially when it comes to budgetary requirements. I approach each project with a sense of urgency but also with a focus on making the experience enjoyable for everyone involved. My business is fully insured, and I insure clients as a named insured during the production.

Although sports photography is my personal favorite thanks to my background as a former NCAA Division I baseball student athlete, I also shoot a variety of other subjects, including corporate/commercial, editorial, and portraits. Each of these areas represents a significant portion of my business, but sports photography still holds a special place in my heart due to my deep understanding of the dedication and effort that athletes put into their careers.

Expansion into Videography Production

In 2022, I expanded my offerings to include commercial videography. I realized that there were plenty of opportunities to integrate video content into commercial photo shoots, so I added the Canon R5 mirrorless camera to my gear. This camera produces stunning images for both photography and videography. Since then, I’ve continued to invest in more gear, including the Canon R3 to meet my clients’ needs.

We now produce content with both cameras, which gives two perspectives for interviews or procedures/surgeries. When combined with the physician’s audio, and synchronized video from an endoscope, arthroscope, or laparascope, the production can showcase your product as you intended for training or demonstration of use.

Originally from the Midwest, I’ve lived in California for over a decade and Boston for about six years before making my home in Cary, North Carolina. I’m married to a wonderful wife, and we have two kids. I am willing and able to easily travel throughout the eastern U.S. and also accept worldwide commissions and assignments.
